Monthly Expenditure on Ace

Ace P

Updated: Apr 24, 2024

We have been asked this question so many times! For the ones who are planning to bring a dog home, here is the breakdown of the expenses:

  1. Food - It depends on the brand of dog food. We buy a 12kgs bag of Dibaq (https://amzn.to/3Pmn0ci), which costs around Rs. 7,000 and lasts for a month. We have tried too many brands with Ace (Royal Canin, N&D, Orijen, Acana, Purina Supercoat & many more) and he finally liked Dibaq. If it's possible to give raw non-veg diet at your home, that's the best option.

  2. Toys and treats - This depends on how much you want to spend, but you can consider allocating Rs. 500-1000/month for this. There are other accessories like dog collar, leash, pet tag, bandana etc., some of which are just extras, but most of the people opt for them.

  3. Vet bill - Deworming every 3 months, annual vaccines and vet charges will cost you around Rs. 3000/yr. This is assuming no extra medical attention is required. We strongly recommend purchasing pet insurance for emergencies.

  4. Bath and Grooming - We bathe Ace once every week at home, so the cost is only for the shampoo, which amounts to Rs. 600/month (We use Forcans Long Coat -https://amzn.to/44CfxKw) . If you choose to go for a Dog Spa at a reputable place, it will cost around Rs. 1200 for one session.
